We have decided to let him be as long as we receive compensation.

And yet, he refuses to pay.

U-Um, Eueu, maybe you should just put the vase down. Violence isn't the best route in this situation, and even though Alviss won't harm you for giving him a concussion, his brother will be after you with a burning vengeance.... And there are many people here that would help him hide any unwanted bodies.
