Whoever You Are - SheaxLen Fanfiction (STILL IN PROGRESS)

“I don’t trust him” were the words Lenarche murmurs when Shea isn’t looking.
“What are they going to do with me? I’m sure they are just like the other clients in the brothel. They are twisting me like crazy. I should run away… I have been carrying along in their plan way too long…” Turns out that letting Shea overpower Lenarche in the room, was all just an act. All just an act. “Soon they will be my way so I can get out of this place!”

“Lenarche. Are you fine?” Shea started murmuring to Lenarche. I’m their priority, they are just acting like that to get my… “What, Sir? I’m fine, I guess…” Lenarche said, trying to hide her thoughts from the demon. Shea suddenly nudges Alviss shoulder while they are walking. “Hey, Al. Once we reach that footwear store, we fix something up for Len here okay? We’ll make her look more like a guild member…” Alviss nods in agreement. “We can actually tour her around the town you know.” Alviss says. “So that she’ll see what’s in here.” Shea grins. “Oh yeah! Great idea!”

From her place, Lenarche can see Shea’s grin, and from her she thought that…I should really get out of here! But if I force my way out I’m afraid that…

… that demon will get me…

A conversation had started up and Len felt somewhat out of place with the two. Shea and Alviss seems to be talking about a commotion that once happened on the guild; and how it funnily ended.

“Hahahaha!” Shea’s laughter was so hard a stray tear had formed on the corner of his eye. “And then you remember how she screamed on her ears like ‘Don’t die!!!’” Alviss laughed too, but not as crazily as Shea does. Shea kept on laughing like there’s no tomorrow.

But then, Lenarche grabbed the sword she tucked in her back, and unsheathed it. Alviss and Shea looked at Len. “Can we rest?” Lenarche requested. “I’ve wanted to do something, too.”

“WHAT? What the heck did you say?” Lenarche got insulted on Shea’s words. Shea didn’t mean it, that’s for sure. He didn’t even know calling Lenarche a sissy and a loudmouth is already an insult. Of course, it is an insult, but most girls ignore those words, as long as Shea is saying it. But for Lenarche, an insult remains to be an insult no matter who says it.

“How about I call you a blue-haired freak?” Lenarche said. “Haaaah, I’ll give that a 60.” Shea said. “What?” She unsheathed her sword and almost pointed it to Shea when Alviss grabbed her wrist tightly and the sword clanged to the ground. Still gripping Lenarche’s wrist, he picked up the sword and stabbed it to the ground.

“Lenarche, please… That attitude would get you to trouble.” Alviss said, trying to suppress his anger. His grip tightens more. “Owww!” Lenarche wails. Alviss lets go of Lenarche’s wrist. Damn that nomad guy… he’s pretty a fierce one…

“You are so short-tempered, you know that?” Alviss says, and he sits beside Shea. The demon didn’t argue with Alviss’ statement, and nods. “So Lenarche, how long were you in that…” Shea trails off, because Lenarche knew the word: brothel. Shea was asking how long she was in the brothel. Why does he need that information? Lenarche thought.

“You don’t care, anyway.” Lenarche murmured in a barely audible voice. Shea didn’t hear what Lenarche said, and silence ate up their moods again.

Dang, Shea thought, the silence is so creepy…

Suddenly, Lenarche stood up and stretched her arms.

“Augh,” she grunted, “What are we doing, anyway..?”
“Supposed to buy a new pair of boots for ya…” Alviss says. “… until that ‘brawl’ started.”
Lenarche snorted. “Brawl?” She laughed silently. “It’s just a cat-dog fight.”
Oh, great. Silence ate up her anger. That’s waaaaay too quick.
“We should get you back to the guild before it gets dark.” Alviss says. His voice was like a passing wind, because Shea acted like he didn’t hear anything.
